Live your life like it is your last day on Earth - Take chances.
Nobody knows when the final hour is among us and it seems that most of us believe that we will live forever in this domain, until the body and mind begin to deteriorate leaving us to question the inevitable. The thought of leaving this world for many people is one that they would rather choose to ignore and face at a later date. Why wait for regrets to come back and haunt us spending our whole lives running away? Should we not live life to the fullest and maximize our potential as each day dawns on us? Clearing the wreckage of our past enables us to walk freely, knowing that we have done the best we could with our heads held high. It then doesn't matter what the result is because there are no reservations of guilt or shame.
To achieve this it means that we are to search deep within our feelings - seek to locate all of the suppressed anger, shame, guilt & pain under the multiple layers we have so cleverly constructed over the years. We need to face and shatter the emotional illusion where most of us in the past tended to act on impulse rather than look at reality. Our entire existence will continue to throw situations at us that seek to neutralize this imbalance. We may feel that the world is treating us harsh though it is actually trying to offer us another chance to clear away the problem and will continue to do so until we face it with action, whatever that may be. The same as a broken leg if not tended to by a bone specialist, will heal with the break forever impeding its ability to perform under normal conditions. Pain is caused by an imbalance in the natural flow of energy that is fundamental to our being - we cannot change the fundamentals they are the basis of all other aspects of creation.
The result in relevant action is a life-shattering change that comes around, freeing us from the emotional, mental & physical wreckage that often leads us towards the ever-spiraling staircase of self-harm or substance abuse in any shape or form. If we are ill we see a doctor. If we are sad we seek experiences to cheer us up - we take action.
Someone once said to me - "Are you living your life to the maximum potential? Do you have your priorities straight?" I had replied with solid confidence that I was surely in good order with most of my affairs. He replied - "Okay then, I have just given you 6 weeks to live - Now do you still have your priorities straight?"
