Why do people not see things in the same light that we do, does this mean that they are incompetent or unintelligent? Not quite....
Subjectivity is the basis of existence. We only consciously know and understand that which we have experienced therefore something that we have not come across on our path may well seem alien to us. The idea that our partner, friend or relative cannot understand what we would term as simple or common knowledge can often be frustrating to say the least. Our expectations are illusive and to expect is to anticipate the future, missing the present moment.
Two people witnessing the same phenomena are not experiencing the same thoughts and feelings, therefore it is wise to respect other people's ideas and act with empathy - if any action is necessary at all. Most of the time action is taken on impulse and lands us in more trouble than we anticipated.
